Learning Jump Rope Technique Is Easy
It does take a little time to master the art of jump roping, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get a good workout or have fun right off the bat. Stance: Proper jumping technique calls for the shoulders to be down and relaxed. Your elbows should be in and fairly close to the body. Wrists need to be just a tad below your elbows for proper position.

Turn movement: Use your wrists to turn the rope, not your arms and your shoulders. Wrist-only movement might be a little tricky to get used to, but it is a proper technique.

Jumping: Make sure when you jump over the rope that you land on the balls of the feet. Try to land softly and keep your jumps low, so you just barely clear the rope.
Remember, this workout doesn’t require instant perfect to be beneficial. The more you use proper jump rope technique and practice it, the better you will get. It might take a little time and patience, but the pay off can be very big.
